The Habit of Rainy Nights Press is hosting a Book Release Party and Reception for Shelley Davidow and her memoir, The Eye of the Moon, on Thursday, August 9th, 7:00 pm at The Hundreth Monkey Studio, 120 SE 16th Ave in Portland (SE 16th & Ankeny, one block south of Burnside).

You are invited to join us in welcoming Shelley back to Oregon, chat, and listen to her read briefly from her book. Copies will also be available for purchase and signing. We will have refreshments, wine, and light fare.

• Monday, August 13th at 7 pm, I Love Monday reading series at Borders Books, downtown

At last, we have been able to schedule an official reading and release party for Marginal Notes, our new chapbook from Jay Thiemeyer.

Join us on Sunday, June 18th, 3pm at the Multnomah County Central Library Community Room. Jay will read from his book, and there will be light refreshments served.

Jay will have his books for sale at the event.

Jay Thiemeyer is a fine Portland, Oregon poet who has spent over two decades living on the streets struggling with the issues of homelessness. His poems speak compassionately and truthfully to the reality of life on the street, and of the people who live there. His new chapbook, Marginal Notes, is scheduled to be released in March, 2006 by the habit of rainy nights press.
