No more AOL addresses on our mailing list

Filed under: press news — Duane Poncy @ 10:02 am

Although we have only opt-in mailing lists, a newsletter we sent out was evidently flagged as spam. Our website host said the likely culprit is AOL, which is notorious for reporting legitimate mail to its customers as spam. We ourselves receive huge amounts of spam every day, so we understand the need for very strong control of this problem. AOL, however, goes too far.

Our host has recommended to us that we remove all AOL addresses from our mailing list databases. So we are, unhappily, following their advice.

If you have an AOL address and would like to continue to be on our mailing list, your solution is to get a free email account from Yahoo, or some other service. We hate to discriminate, but AOL has forced us into this corner.
